The ARTEX Personal Locator Beacon (PLB 8110) combines small size and rugged construction for pocket or life‑vest carry. Activation is simple—extend the antenna, flip up the spring‑loaded protective cover and press ON. Once activated, the PLB sends a 406 MHz distress message to the Cospas‑Sarsat satellite network and emits a 121.5 MHz homing beacon; a high‑intensity strobe light aids night visibility. A unique mounting clip, flotation pouch and lanyard are included.
