The Artex ELT 1000 kit is a value‑priced upgrade to obsolete 121.5 MHz ELTs. Its single‑output transmitter sends both 406 MHz and 121.5 MHz distress signals through one coax cable, so you get satellite‑grade accuracy and a 121.5 MHz homing beacon from one compact unit. An internal GPS interface allows position data from your avionics to be embedded in the beacon message (no aircraft power is required), improving search‑and‑rescue accuracy to about 110 yards.

This kit includes the ELT 1000 transmitter, whip antenna, two‑wire remote switch, installation hardware and buzzer. Because the remote switch uses just two wires, installation costs and labour are reduced. The 406 MHz transmitter provides a position accuracy typically within 1.86 miles when used alone and finer positioning when connected to GPS.
